COMBINATION TREATMENTS = CREATING THE BEST RESULTS IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME
Restoring volume in your face is one of the most effective and natural ways to look younger and more vibrant. Restylane and Juvederm treatments are a quick and effective way to give your face instant volume - smoothing out deeper lines and folds, and plumping lips for a youthful smile. The positive effects of Restylane and Juvederm are even more dramatic when used in combination with the smoothing effects of Botox. Botox not only smoothes fine lines and wrinkles - it also prevents new lines and wrinkles from forming! Both treatments can be performed in less than 15 minutes and typically do not require any downtime. Worried about facial skin laxity? Add Thermage to your treatment plan for a non-surgical face lift! Be proactive in maintaining your skin - call us for a complimentary consultation to see what combination treatments can do for you. You will be amazed by the results!

FAT INJECTIONS TO THE FACE
One of the best ways to help reverse the signs of aging is to add body fat to the face! Using gentle techniques, Dr. Naficy removes fat from the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks. Your own fat is then injected into the face to fill in wrinkles, correct nasolabial folds, or to plump lips. The greatest advantage of fat over Sculptra or Restylane is that it is 100% natural. Breast Reduction
Breast reduction is a surgical procedure that reduces breast size, breast weight and repositions drooping nipples. The result is a more aesthetically pleasing breast that is 'lighter' and has a better shape. In addition to the cosmetic concerns, women with excessively heavy and pendulous (hanging) breasts can also develop neck pain, back pain and headaches related to the larger breast size. The physical symptoms, self-consciousness in social settings, and the inability to find properly fitting clothes are the common reasons why many women seek breast reduction surgery.

Breast reduction surgery has an extremely high rate of patient satisfaction. A recent survey by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons revealed that breast reduction surgery ranks first in rate of patient satisfaction amongst all breast and body plastic surgery procedures.
What types of breast reductions are available?
Depending on your breast anatomy and goals for breast reduction, there are several methods to surgically reduce breast size. Dr. Sattler has extensive experience with both 'traditional' Wise-pattern (anchor-shaped scar) and the newer 'short scar' vertical breast reduction techniques. There are pros and cons to each technique, and Dr. Sattler will spend a significant amount of time during your consultation educating you about these different techniques. Each breast reduction technique reduces the weight of the breast and provides a generous 'lift', which rejuvenates the breast appearance.
Details about Breast Reduction Surgery
For most healthy women, a breast reduction is a 3-hour outpatient operation performed at our private and certified ambulatory surgery center in Bellevue. Dr. Sattler uses special drains that collect any fluid that might result from the operation. These drains are removed a few days after surgery and have been shown to reduce bruising and swelling after surgery. You will also have the option using a pain pump after surgery, which drips local anesthetic (numbing medication) into each breast, and significantly reduces the discomfort after breast reduction surgery. The breast reduction operation has best results for women that are close to their ideal body weight. Breast reduction is not performed for patients that are actively smoking.

Will Breast Reduction Surgery help my neck and back pain?
For patients with neck, back and shoulder pain that are linked to their large breast size, breast reduction surgery is typically effective at diminishing pain. Neck pain, back pain, and headaches can have causes other than breast size; therefore breast reduction is not a guarantee of pain relief.
Do I need a mammogram prior to Breast Reduction Surgery?
As with most breast procedures, if you are over 40 years of age, and have no family history of breast cancer, then you should have a screening mammogram prior to breast reduction surgery. If you are less than 40 years of age, and have any family members that have been diagnosed with breast cancer, than you should have a screening mammogram prior to your breast reduction surgery.
Breast tissue removed during the breast reduction procedure is sent to a pathologist for inspection for cancerous or pre-cancerous breast tissue.
How much breast tissue will be removed?
The amount of tissue that will be removed during breast reduction surgery is based on several factors, including what size and shape you would like your breasts to be after surgery. Your breast measurements, height and weight will be considered as well. Using this information, a range of breast reduction weights can be calculated.
What type of anesthesia is used for breast reduction surgery?
Breast reduction surgery can be performed either under general anesthesia or under IV sedation anesthesia in our Medicare-certified ambulatory surgery center. Regardless of the anesthesia technique you are kept comfortable and are constantly monitored by an anesthesia provider. The advantages of IV sedation over general anesthesia are that: (i) it does not require putting a breathing tube in the throat, (ii) it does not require a breathing machine, (iii) the recovery is much faster, (iv) there is much less "hang-over" from anesthesia, (v) and there is much less nausea. More extensive types of breast reduction surgery may necessitate general anesthesia.
Will my insurance company pay for the operation?
Breast reduction can at times be considered a reconstructive procedure in which insurance companies would cover the procedure as an approved benefit. In some instances there may be specific breast weight reduction criteria that must be met for the procedure to considered medically necessary. Your primary care or OB/GYN physician can review your medical history and complete a referral letter to Dr. Sattler for breast reduction surgery.
The referral letter can be downloaded here: Referral Letter PDF.
Have your primary care or OB/GYN physician fill out this letter and send it to Dr. Sattler. The letter contains the information Dr. Sattler needs to discuss your breast reduction case with your insurance company. We are in-network with a number of insurance companies.
Dr. Sattler's clinic will process the insurance paperwork for you, and attempt to obtain a pre-approval letter from your insurance company before surgery. In some cases however, the type of breast reduction that is safest for a patient will not be covered by insurance. In these cases, you have the option to pay for the procedure prior to surgery.
We accept most major insurance companies. To find out the specifics of your insurance coverage you can contact your carrier directly or we can do so for you provided that we have details of your insurance plan/policy.
