COMBINATION TREATMENTS = CREATING THE BEST RESULTS IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME

Restoring volume in your face is one of the most effective and natural ways to look younger and more vibrant. Restylane and Juvederm treatments are a quick and effective way to give your face instant volume - smoothing out deeper lines and folds, and plumping lips for a youthful smile. The positive effects of Restylane and Juvederm are even more dramatic when used in combination with the smoothing effects of Botox. Botox not only smoothes fine lines and wrinkles - it also prevents new lines and wrinkles from forming! Both treatments can be performed in less than 15 minutes and typically do not require any downtime. Worried about facial skin laxity? Add Thermage to your treatment plan for a non-surgical face lift! Be proactive in maintaining your skin - call us for a complimentary consultation to see what combination treatments can do for you. You will be amazed by the results!

About Fat Grafting Procedures

FAT INJECTIONS TO THE FACE

One of the best ways to help reverse the signs of aging is to add body fat to the face! Using gentle techniques, Dr. Naficy removes fat from the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks. Your own fat is then injected into the face to fill in wrinkles, correct nasolabial folds, or to plump lips. The greatest advantage of fat over Sculptra or Restylane is that it is 100% natural. Hand Surgery is part of Plastic Surgery

The core principle in plastic surgery is to restore function and appearance to injured, deformed or diseased tissues. For this reason, Surgery of the Hand has become an integral part of plastic surgery. Plastic surgeons trained in the United States receive substantial experience in all types of hand surgery.

Hand Surgery Procedures

  • Management of acute hand injuries
  • Dupuytren's contracture surgery
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome surgery
  • Cubital tunnel syndrome surgery
  • Trigger finger surgery
  • Dequervain's tenosynovitis surgery
  • Ganglion cyst curgery
  • Cancers of the hand
  • Hand rejuvenation with fat grafting

Management of acute hand injuries

The hand can be injured at work, or at home. Injuries such as lacerations, fractures, nailbed injuries, flexor and extensor tendon injuries, joint dislocations, bite wounds, hand infections, fingertip wounds, or other open hand wounds can usually be managed on an outpatient basis. At times, these injuries require specialized procedures, such as microsurgical nerve repair, which is done in a hospital setting.

Dupuytren's contracture surgery

The connective tissue of the palmar surface of the hand can contract, and create flexion contractures in the fingers that limit function. The connective tissue contractures need to be carefully released without damaging the important nerves and blood vessels that supply the fingers. The problem can recur after surgery. The goal of Dupuytren's Contracture Surgery is to restore function to the hand and limit the possibility of recurrence.

Carpal tunnel syndrome surgery

The carpal tunnel is a thick connective tissue band on the palm side of the wrist that contains a number of important tendons and the median nerve. Long-term compression of the median nerve can cause numbness and tingling in the thumb, index and part of the middle finger. Hand weakness can also become a problem with long-term cases of nerve compression. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Surgery releases the pressure on the median nerve, and can usually eliminate the fingertip numbness and tingling. Hand weakness as a result of median nerve compression often does not improve completely after Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Surgery.

Cubital tunnel syndrome surgery

The cubital tunnel is a connective tissue passageway that shelters the ulnar nerve as it crosses from the arm to the forearm. The nerve can become compressed by this connective tissue, resulting in numbness of portions of the hand and weakness of the hand muscles. Cubital Tunnel Syndrome Surgery releases the pressure on the ulnar nerve, and moves the nerve into a safer position relative to the elbow joint.

Trigger finger (stenosing tenosynovitis) surgery

A 'trigger' finger results from a thickened region of flexor tendon that catches or 'triggers' against one of the important flexor pulleys of the hand. Patients with a trigger finger report snapping and locking, and sometimes pain when opening and closing the hand. Trigger Finger disease can be treated for a limited time with steroid injections. The problem is effectively treated with a Trigger Finger Release procedure, which can be done under local anesthetic.

Dequervain's tenosynovitis surgery

Patients can develop sharp pain along the back of the thumb-side of the wrist that increases with wrist flexion. This problem is the result of thumb tendons and wrist extensor tendons rubbing together and becoming inflamed. Splinting the wrist is a short-term solution. Surgery for Dequervain's disease can be very successful in treating this debilitating problem.

Ganglion cyst surgery

A ganglion cyst is a painful lump associated with one of the many joint spaces and tendon sheaths of the wrist and hand. The lumps are usually associated with some wrist or hand joint pain. Symptoms often flare with repetitive use of the hand. Conservative measures like splinting and steroid injection can provide relief. For patients with chronic ganglion cysts that do not improve with splinting and rest, the procedure of choice is Ganglion Cyst Surgery.

Cancers of the hand

The hand can develop skin and soft tissue cancers. Skin cancers such as squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma can present on the hand. There are also some tumors that are unique to the hand. Management of these cancers requires in-depth understanding of the cancer, but also how the hand will function after removal of the cancer. Plastic surgeons are uniquely qualified to manage cancers of the hand.

Hand rejuvenation with fat grafting

As the hand ages, the soft tissue bulk that typifies a youthful hand can regress. The result is a hand with prominent bone structure and thin skin that reveals underlying veins. This appearance is especially noticeable on the back of the hands. The soft tissues of the hand can be augmented by fat injection techniques. Your own fat is removed from the abdomen or thigh. It is then processed and injected into the hand to restore soft tissue volume. The injected fat becomes a living part of hand. The result is a much more youthful appearing hand. Fat grafting for cosmetic purposes is not covered by insurance policies.
